Al-Ufuq
Al-Ufuq
aims to enhance the level of cultural and artistic
opportunities for young Arabs in Israel. Raising
awareness among other ethnic groups of the cultural
status of Arabs in Israel is also an important
activity. Al-Ufuq does this by organizing cultural
and artistic projects, tapping into the potential
of young Arab artists through education and equipping
those artists with the necessary conceptual tools
for the development of their talents. Al-Ufuq
offers drama and stage acting courses as well
as ballet courses. Publications include plays,
books, short stories, and poetry.
Current
and past projects developed by Al-Ufuq include
the production of plays nationwide; children's
musicals; social, cultural and political awareness
festivals; art festivals; elementary and secondary
school events such as class plays and student
art exhibitions; and the full production of the
first Arab television program in Israel.
