Salma Dancing Group
Establishing in 1980, Salma Dancing Group works to promote and develop oriental folk dance. The group performs for a variety of audiences and is currently developing a variety of shows for audiences of different age groups.

Goals

Developing oriental dance and promoting it to the widest possible audience in the country and beyond.

Main Activities

  • Three dance troupes, composed of 60 members in Haifa divided on the basis of age and experience. Ages in the groups range from ages nine to thirty.
  • Dance training for youth;
  • Theatre dance performances for the elderly and children, including Houdh al-Na'na' and Najar al-Hakim;
  • Participation in social events;
  • Establishment for a school for dance;
  • Promotion of traditional dance through a variety of forums, including dance instruction and theater performance;
  • Performing a variety of shows for audiences of different age groups
