About the Arab Association for Human Rights
HRA
works to promote and protect the political, economic,
and cultural rights of the Palestinian Arab minority
in Israel from an international human rights perspective.
It is the sole Palestinian Arab NGO working specifically
in this field.
Over
the years HRA has conducted, local community and
international campaigns to raise awareness, understanding
and respect for human rights and democratic principles.
It has monitored violations of human rights, published
and distributed reports documenting abuses, and
participated in local NGO advocacy coalitions,
several of which it initiated. These coalitions
address land, housing, and women's rights, promote
networking, and facilitate human rights education
programs. HRA has provided legal assistance and
organized and participated in local and international
training workshops and conferences. In addition,
HRA has also worked to promote human rights in
the Occupied Territories and the areas under the
control of the Palestinian Authority by supporting
the human rights appeals of various international

humanitarian aid
